What is the North Central Kansas Specialty Crop Project?
The NCK Specialty Crop Project is a group of growers, farmer market managers and county Farm Bureau associations who have joined together to explore ways to expand business opportunities for producers in a five county area. The counties included in the project are Washington, Republic, Marshall, Cloud and Clay counties. This effort was made possible through a specialty crop block grant funded through the Kansas Department of Agriculture and the USDA. Funding assistance has also been provided by the Kansas Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture, the American Farm Bureau White-Reinhardt Fund, your county economic development entity, and your county Farm Bureau Association. Look below to learn who is representing your county:
Funding Statement:

Marketing Your Produce

Caterers and other suppliers will also be encouraged to support local growers. From time to time lists of available growers will be supplied.
